Our most recent excursion took us to NOMAD ethnocenter just outside of Almaty! We learned about the evolution of Kazakhstani armor, the traditional Kazakh yurt, and the crafts which are central to nomadic lifestyles. We also tried our own hand at horseback riding, archery, wearing the national uniforms, crafting, and making two national dishes! Below are just a few pictures to recap this wonderful experience!
